Located in the heart of downtown Red Wing, Minnesota, the Aliveo Military Museum is part of the Aliveo Learning Center Inc. Our collection includes military uniforms, weapons, insignia, badges, flags, photographs, equipment, and personal artifacts that help tell the stories of military service throughout history.
Visitors can explore artifacts representing conflicts from the Revolutionary War and Civil War through World Wars I and II, Korea, Vietnam, the Cold War, and more recent conflicts. The museum also features items relating to international military history, including the Zulu and British War.
Through the preservation and presentation of these artifacts, we aim to educate visitors of all ages and honor the people whose experiences shaped military history.
Our History
The Aliveo Military Museum first opened its doors to the public on Memorial Day in 2009. Founded by the late Dale Hoium and Bruce Sexton, the museum was established to preserve military history and share it with future generations.
Over the years, the museum has grown through the generosity of individuals and families who have donated military artifacts, historical memorabilia, and financial support. These contributions have helped preserve important pieces of history and make them accessible to the community.
